Mr. Ron Nechemia recognizes the vital role played by these Millennium Development Goals and the Millennium Summits in shaping a broad development vision and in identifying commonly agreed objectives, which have contributed to understanding of and actions to overcome the challenges to improving human life in different parts of the world. Mr. Nechemia aligned the development programmes of the EurOrient Financial Group with theUnited Nations Millennium Deliration and led the EurOrient’s efforts to help support the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals -- eight, time-bound development targets with the overarching goal of halving extreme poverty by 2015 -- which were approved by world leaders at the UN Millennium Summit of September 2000
